Tony and Brenda Furze of Albury New South Wales operate Outback-Tag-a-Long Tours. We started business in 1992 and over the years we have continued to grow, working on the philosophy of ‘do for others as we would like done for us’. We are getting a little greyer but still very easy to get along with.
Tony has many years experience in all aspects of four wheel driving, and has a bushman’s knowledge of what to do in the event of a break down, tyre repairs, welding etc. Brenda is considered a veritable book of knowledge on the flora and fauna, and useless information. We both have senior first aid certificates and the equipment to use, as well as the backup of the Royal Flying Doctor service via the HF radio and satellite phone.
All our tours are self catered, but we throw in a surprise or two, (lovely roast dinner at a bush pub, surprise meal of barbeque fish if we catch some, along with other sweet fattening things) We are knowledgeable in the ways of kids (ours turned out OK, one loves four wheel driving, the other one hates it), so children are very welcome. The older generations are well looked after too.
We take care of all National Park and camping charges, assorted ferry and tour costs, get the firewood, organise hot showers at night, erect a comfortable bush toilet, (not just the shovel!) and light the fire for dinner and breakfast.
We conduct every tour ourselves and do not carry passengers, so you gain the benefit of our undivided attention. We don’t mind if you are a novice as your skills increase dramatically with the right tuition.
All you have to do now is book for an Outback Tag-a-Long Tour and you are well on your way to an unforgettable journey.
